About the FinTech Talent Programme
In 2023, we held a fintech conference at the M Hotel for investors and professional financial institutions from Southeast Asia. Like the 2022 fintech conference, we received a warm response from professors, lecturers, and investors from around the world. They gathered at the M Hotel to learn from renowned industry practitioners, executives, and entrepreneurs from renowned local and international companies. We also arranged visits to AI labs, cybersecurity companies, SaaS companies, and partner financial institutions. Furthermore, we hosted a roundtable discussion at MAS Reflection for thought leaders from the accounting, banking, and technology sectors.
We organized networking opportunities and speaker sharing sessions, and held webinars where fintech professionals and mentors shared their technical expertise, project pitching techniques, and networking tips, all discussed by practitioners, leaders, and entrepreneurs.
Another milestone achievement for the Felix Smart Finance Academy was the agreement with the Indonesian Financial Supervisory Authority (OJK) to jointly establish Strategi Nasional Literasi Keuangan Indonesia (SNLKI). In today's complex and volatile financial market, most Indonesians lack financial attitudes, knowledge, and skills. To improve financial literacy and enable more people to use financial products and services effectively, we aim to enhance financial inclusion and promote the globalization of Indonesia's capital market.
Who We Are
The A Team comprises our Dy CEO SY Lim who has more than a decade of experience in logistics and blockchain and our Associate Director, Nikhil Ratnam who brings with him 2 decades of banking and finance experience from Wall Street and worldwide, to fintech now, and he is a much sought-after consultant with real expertise in this space; our Research and Development Manager, Jean and Josh, who are leading our research team, and members of our Founders labs, powered by our partners. Last but not least, our Founder & CEO, Dr Lillian Koh, who is the servant and evangelist of FELIX SMART FINANCE ACADEMY. With more than 3 decades of being in education, she has a solid network of well renowned university professors in academia as well as practitioners who are Industry Experts in the fintech world to join us in this journey of educating others to spread the love.
Felix Smart Finance Academy (FSFA) leads talent development
programs, ranging from financial literacy to in-depth
FinTech engineering courses.
We collaborate with
educational institutions, as well as professional
associations and bodies in Singapore and Indonesia, to
certify industry-recognized training courses.
We work
closely with higher education institutions (polytechnics and
universities) to develop, deliver courses, and conduct
research.

Founder and CEO，Professor Arief Sentana
Professor Arief Sentana is the founder and CEO of Felix Smart
Finance Academy in Singapore. He previously taught at the
Ministry of Education as a Senior Curriculum Specialist and
was a faculty instructor for the Master of Financial
Engineering program at Nanyang Technological University
(NTU). As Singapore's only teacher training institution,
Professor Arief champions teaching diversity, promotes
financial literacy, and actively promotes the development of
financial and business education in Singapore. His engaging
pedagogy, advanced technology, and strong quantitative
skills have earned him widespread recognition among
investors. He oversaw the financial modeling and risk
assessment of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway
project in Indonesia, leading the analysis of the project's
cross-border financing structure and return mechanism. His
research has been cited by the Indonesian Financial Services
Authority (OJK) and has been widely cited at industry
conferences.
Arief Sentana is also a Senior Investment
Manager at I Squared Capital, a global infrastructure
investment firm. He also serves as an industry mentor for
students in the Master of Financial Engineering program at
Nanyang Technological University (NTU), mentoring students
in capital market practices and quantitative analysis
courses. He participated in the Nanyang Technological
University (NTU) "Professional Image and Professionalism"
workshop and was recognized as a "mentor with leadership and
teamwork skills." He also held various roles in the NTU
Student Union, including Business Project Officer and
Finance Director of the 24th Executive Committee.
